Privacy policy

The short version

Her Cycle Compass is built to keep your cycle and check-in data on your device. We don’t sell your data. We don’t run a cloud backend for your check-ins in this version. Partner sharing only happens when you explicitly export or send a summary.

What the app stores

• Daily check-ins — mood, energy, social battery, optional pain, cravings, needs tags, and optional private notes.
• App settings — reminders, partner visibility toggles, appearance, and mode (for her / for him on this device).
• Cycle estimates — derived from Apple Health menstrual flow (if you allow it) and/or manual cycle details you enter in Settings.

All of the above stays in the app’s local storage on your iPhone unless you export it yourself.

Apple Health

With your permission, the app reads menstrual flow history from Apple Health to estimate cycle phase and timing. It does not write data back to Health and does not read other Health categories. If you deny access or have no period data logged, the app shows empty or unknown states rather than inventing dates.

What we don’t do (current version)

• No user accounts or sign-in
• No cloud sync or backup service operated by us
• No selling or renting your personal data
• No advertising trackers in the app
• No automatic sharing with a partner — sharing is always initiated by you

Partner sharing

When you share a partner summary (link, file, or copied text), you choose what is included — such as phase, cycle day, needs tags, and support cards. Private notes and full check-in history are never included. Anyone who receives a link can view that snapshot until you send a new one. Treat shared links like something you’d hand someone in person: only send them to people you trust.

The Partner Viewer website processes shared snapshots in the browser when your partner opens a link or file. It is separate from this marketing site and does not store your Health data.

Export, import, and deletion

You can export your check-ins as JSON from Settings, import a backup you previously saved, or delete all check-ins on the device. Deleting the app from your iPhone removes local app data. You are in control of any files you save outside the app.

This website

This marketing and support site is static HTML. It does not collect check-in data. Standard web hosting (for example Netlify) may log basic request metadata such as IP address for security and operations — consult your host’s privacy documentation for details.

Children

Her Cycle Compass is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If we materially change how data is handled — for example by adding optional cloud sync — we will update this page and the in-app messaging before those features ship.
